Let me start by saying that I’m a huge vanilla freak. I love everything vanilla scented…candles, lotions, cookies, etc. But I’m REALLY picky about my vanilla scent. It can’t have anything else mixed in with it (except maybe coconut on occasion), and it has to be a true vanilla scent.
So one day I’m casually flipping through some fashion magazine and I happen to see an article about some new products that were just coming out. One of them was Kiehl’s new essence oil, which comes in 11 scents. Well let me tell ya, I couldn’t get to Belk’s fast enough. I called them just to make sure they already had it, and thank god they did. I had bought a vanilla scented essential oil off a cart in a Massachusetts mall several years ago, and I had been nursing it ever since, trying to make it last as long as possible. I hadn’t been able to find a suitable replacement in 5+ years.
And not only was I able to get some really fantastic smelling essence oil, but they had also just launched their famous Lip Balm #1 in scents too! I had been a big fan of their lip balm for years and years so of course I got that too – and LOVE it! At $8.50 it’s only $.50 more than their regular lip balm.
PROS:

- Can be worn alone or mixed with other scents
- Comes in 11 scents
- Easy to apply, rollerball applicator
CONS:
- Price (at $25 it’s $21 more than the last bottle of vanilla essence I had)
